You may not hear from them for quite some time, depending on the number of Shih Tzu dogs they have available and the number of applications they receive. The volunteer will ask you further questions about your application and set up a home visit.

Your references will be contacted.
A Shih Tzu dog will be placed in your home. You will sign the adoption agreement and surrender the adoption fee to the organization.
How to Rescue a Shih Tzu in Wisconsin
Shih Tzu rescues in Wisconsin work to rescue the dogs from local shelters, owners who have had to abandon their dog, and lost dogs who have been recovered. The dogs undergo a physical exam from a vet and if need be are nursed back to health. By adopting a rescue you are giving the dog a second chance at love. Wisconsin is fortunate enough to be home to three well known Rescue organizations, the Shih Tzu Rescue of Central Wisconsin, Shih Tzu Club of Southeast Wisconsin and New Beginnings Shih Tzu &Friends Rescue.
