Are pekingese dogs ugly when they get older?

Pekingese dogs do not change in looks as they age but do become shorter because like the dachshund their long bodies stay low to the ground as the dog ages while a puppy is very much taller then as an adult for its body proportions to look right.. As far as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They are not an ugly dog they just aren't the typical fluffy dogs.
