Do pugs have hair or fur?

Pugs have fur, not hair. While both hair and fur are made of keratin, the two terms refer to different types of body coverings in animals. Hair is generally longer, thinner, and grows continuously. Fur, on the other hand, is shorter, denser, and has a defined growth cycle, with periods of shedding and regrowth. Pugs have short, dense fur that helps them stay warm and regulate their body temperature.
