How many different kinds of dogs live in this world?

The number of different kinds of dog breeds is difficult to determine, as different standards and classifications exist around the world. However, according to the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), which is the largest international organization of kennel clubs, there are currently 343 officially recognized dog breeds. These breeds are classified into 10 recognized groups based on their characteristics and origins.
