Do other animals crack their knuckles?
While some anecdotal evidence suggests that animals like chimpanzees, dogs, and cats may engage in behaviors that resemble knuckle cracking, there is limited scientific research specifically investigating this phenomenon in animals. Knuckle cracking is primarily associated with humans and is often attributed to the presence of synovial fluid and gas bubbles within the joints. The frequency and occurrence of knuckle cracking in animals have not been systematically studied, and further research is needed to determine whether other species exhibit similar behaviors.
