How many hertz will annoy a dog?
The range of human hearing extends from about 20 hertz (Hz) to 20,000 Hz. Most dogs can hear above this range, and are capable of hearing sounds up to 45,000 Hz. There are a few sounds within the range of human hearing that may be annoying to dogs, including certain high-pitched noises such as the sound of a whistle, a smoke alarm, or a baby crying. However, there is no single hertz value that is universally annoying to all dogs.
