What is puppies behind bars?

Puppies Behind Bars is a non-profit organization that trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for people with disabilities. The program provides inmates with the opportunity to learn valuable skills, gain a sense of purpose, and give back to their communities. The dogs are trained to perform tasks such as retrieving items, opening doors, and providing emotional support. Puppies Behind Bars has placed over 200 service dogs with individuals in need, and the program has been replicated in prisons across the United States.
