When do puppies come off the nipple?
Puppies should transition from suckling milk from their mother to eating puppy food gradually, starting around 3 weeks of age when their eyes are open and they are able to hold their heads up well. During the third week, puppies will start teething and their mother will begin weaning them. It is important to let the puppies lead the way and be gradually weaned over a period of several weeks to avoid digestive problems.
