Things You'll Need
- Dog harness
- Fleece fabric liner
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue
- 2 adjustable dog collars, 10-inch long
Instructions
Take a piece of fleece fabric lining, which can be purchased from a fabric store, and place it on top of the inside of the harness and the harness straps. A fleece lining makes the harness more comfortable for the dog and helps ensure that the dog doesn't experience any skin irritation or soreness from the carting harness. Use scissors to cut out a piece of the fleece that is approximately the same size as the harness and support straps. Use a hot glue gun to affix the fleece to the inside of the harness and straps. Allow the glue to dry for two hours.
Set the two 10-inch long adjustable dog collars flat on the working surface. Find the middle point of the length, which is approximately at the 5-inch mark, and apply hot glue to the outside of the collar. The outside of the collar is where the adjustable notch is located. Attach the glue to the outside of the side harness strap. Each harness has two side straps located on equal sides. Glue the second collar to the second side harness strap. Allow the glue to dry for two hours.
Close the two collars by inserting the fabric end pieces into the adjustable notches. This forms a loops. Stick the attachment to be cart inside the loop, and tighten the collar around the cart so that the harness becomes a carting harness.
