Things You'll Need
- Two matching round cut pieces of fleece material
- Hypoallergenic filler
- One 12(80) universal sewing needle
- One spool of thread
- Two strips of Velcro, 2 inches
- Scissors
Instructions
Stack two pieces of round fleece material on the floor. The first piece is pattern side up; the second piece is pattern side down.
Connect the two pieces of fleece together using safety pins. This holds the fleece in place as you sew the seam around the edges.
Thread the needle using a three- to four-strand thread thickness.
Begin the stitch 5/8 inch from the edge, stitching parallel to the edge all the way around and leaving 4 inches of un-stitched edging. This is now the shell of the pillow.
Attach the Velcro strips side by side on each edge of the unseen edge of the non-patterned side of the fleece pillow.
Remove all safety pins from the now-sewn pillow.
Turn the pillow right side out and fill with hypo-allergic pillow filler, cedar shavings or other soft materials.
Pinch together the Velcro strips to hold filler in place.
Place fleece pillow in kennel or dog bed.
