Ticks that come into contact with household pets or even humans can be dangerous as they can transmit, dangerous diseases, like Lyme disease. Ticks don't fly, jump or blow around. In fact, they sense the presence of a potential host from afar and they even select an ambush approach based on well traveled paths. Because ticks can be stealthy in their attack approach, it's important to know how to get rid of them. There are ways to get a tick to drop off, as just pulling a tick off by its body, can cause the head to remain leading to greater potential infection.
