How to Register My Dog in Fulton County, Georgia

Dog registration and licensing is mandatory in Fulton County, Ga. Any dog over four months in age must be vaccinated against rabies and licensed through the Fulton County Animal Licensing department. You will also need to pay a fee in order to obtain the license. What fee you will be required to pay depends on the type of rabies vaccination your dog has received, whether or not you have spayed/neutered your dog, and your own age.

      Print out or otherwise obtain a Fulton County, GA Animal License Application.

      Fill out the form completely. Make sure you include your pet's name, breed, colors and date of birth.

      Check the option box under "License Fees" that best describes the type of license you wish to acquire. If, for example, you are a 65-year-old owner of a spayed/neutered dog with a 3-year vaccination, you would select the "3-year Rabies Vacc." box under the "Sr 60+ with Spayed/Neutered Pet" category.

      Write a check for the full amount of the selected license fee and make it payable to "Fulton County Animal Licensing." The department does not accept cash or credit cards.
