Instructions
Contact the breeder or pet store where you got the pit bull. Ask for its purebred papers, which will assert that its mother and father were purebred pit bulls with papers as well. If you've already been given these papers but lost them, you might need to pay a fee to get them again.
Make copies of these papers. Keep the originals in a safe place.
Visit the website "American Pit Bull Registry" and print out the registration form. Fill out the requisite information about your dog.
Attach copies of your pit bull's purebred papers, along with a front and side photograph. Mail everything to: American Pit Bull Registry, PO Box 1036, Antioch, TN 37011
Check your mail six weeks from the date of mailing in the application. You will receive your registry papers in six to 10 weeks.
