Instructions
Take your Yorkie for a long walk in parks or on trails. Stop often and give her water and treats and praise her for good behavior. This will help you build a rapport with your Yorkie, and she will come to you for praise and attention.
Ensure you are the only one who feeds your Yorkie so she will look to you as her primary caregiver. Feeding is one way to bond with your Yorkie as she learns you are the main person who will meet her basic needs.
Play with your female Yorkie. Yorkies need lots of playtime, especially when they're puppies. Use pull-and-tug toys to interact with her. Throw a dog ball she can grasp in her mouth and play tag with her. Many Yorkies enjoy playing catch and will often want to keep playing until you stop.
Bathe and brush your female Yorkie. Bathe her gently and slowly and be careful not to get shampoo in her eyes. Brush her for as long as she will allow during the bonding phase. Praise her often for good behavior during her bath and brushing sessions.
Pet and praise her as often as possible. Use treats in moderation as rewards for good behavior.
