What Can You Do to Stop Pet Tags From Rattling?

Pet tags can make a lot of noise and be a distraction to your family, your dog and other dogs. While out on walks other dogs may take notice of your dog because of the noise their tags make. They may run at your dog, bark or become aggressive. Your pet's tags may jingle so much that they wake your family up at night. Whatever your reason for silencing your pet's tags, you can do it in a few very easy steps.

Instructions

Place rubber or plastic pet-tag silencers on each of the tags on your pet's collar. These silencers snap on over the edges of the tag so that when they hit one another no noise is made. Install the pet-tag silencers by gently sliding the tag through the provided slit in the plastic or rubber. Reattach the tag to your pet's collar.

Wrap your pet's tags in a rubber band. Gently grab all tags and gather them firmly in one hand. Wrap the rubber band around the tags with the other hand until they are tightly bound. This will prevent movement of the pet tags.

Use a cloth wedding treat bag to cover the pet tags. Insert the pet tags in the bag and gently pull the drawstring cord. Tie the drawstring cord tightly so that there is no risk of it coming off. The tags have little to no room to move within the small bag and the pet tag noise will stop.

Install a collar wallet onto your pet's collar by removing the tags and placing them within the pouch of the wallet. Snap the wallet closed and slide the collar through the provided slits in the wallet. Your pet always has it's tags but without them jingling around beneath their nose.
