Breeds
-
The breed a man chooses can speak volumes about his personality. Someone with a tough exterior who shares space with a teacup chihuahua shows he has a softer side. A man who chooses a large breed probably sees himself as very masculine.
Behavior
-
The way a man treats his dog is good evidence of his character. A man who gives a lot of attention to his dog is likely to be an attentive mate and father. A man who ignores, berates, and/or abuses his dog should be avoided.
Dominance
-
Men unconsciously lower the pitch of their voices to be seen as more dominant, like a dog who growls at a less dominant dog. Conversely, men raise the pitch of their voices around other men they perceive as being more dominant, like dogs who whine around more dominant members of their species.
Theories/Speculation
-
Watching your own dog's reaction to a man can also provide clues to his character. If your dog wags his tail and immediately bonds with a man, chances are the man has a good character. If your dog is cautious around him, however, it might be wise to follow suit.
