      Put on the rubber gloves. Fill the bucket with water. Spray OXI-clean laundry stain remover on the stain. Let it sit for 2 minutes.

      Scrub the stain with a cloth or scrubbing brush. Rinse the cloth or brush in the bucket of water, consistently. Scrub the stain out as much as you can. Press a paper towel down into the carpet until most of the moisture is gone.

      Mix 1 1/2 cups of white vinegar and 1 1/2 cups of lukewarm water. Pour over the stain until saturated. Scrub with a cloth or a brush until the stain is gone. Press a paper towel down into the carpet until you get most of the moisture out. Let the carpet dry completely.

      Pour the baking soda onto the area of the stain. Scrub the baking soda into the carpet with a dry scrubber. Let it stand for two hours. Vacuum the area thoroughly.
