Cottage Grove is a southern suburb of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and is located on the eastern part of the state, along the Mississippi River.     • Wag Farms Dog Park is open to the public as of Sept. 1, 2010. It is an off-leash dog park and welcomes all dogs. There is a pond, as well as wooded and grassy areas. There is also a fenced-off area to separate large and small dogs. The park is open from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. each day. Dogs must be under full vocal control from their owners to be off-leash, otherwise, they must be kept on a leash.

    Woodbury Dog Park

    • Woodbury Dog Park is located in Woodbury, Minnesota, about 6 miles north of Cottage Grove. The park offers 70 acres of land, most of which is available for dogs to play off-leash. It is fully fenced in, and trails and benches are located throughout the park. You must have a dog license from the city of Woodbury to visit the park, which is also located adjacent to the Saint Paul Police K9 training facility (see Resources to obtain a license). The park is open daily from dusk until dawn.

    Coates/Dakota County

    • Coates/Dakota County Dog Park is located in Rosemount, Minnesota, about 10 miles southwest of Cottage Grove. The park has 16 acres of land, including woodland and open space, for dogs and owners to enjoy. There is also a walking loop trail around the park, plus tables and plastic bag dispensers to clean up after your dog. There is no drinking water; bring water for you and your dog if you visit. The park is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
