Things You'll Need
- Bucket
- Vinegar
- Mop
- Enzymatic cleaner
- Plastic tarpaulin
- Concrete sealer
- Paint roller or brush
Instructions
Mix two parts water with one part vinegar in a bucket. Make enough of the mixture to thoroughly saturate the affected surface area.
Apply the water and vinegar mixture to the concrete slab with a mop. Allow the concrete slab to air dry.
Spray enzymatic cleaner onto the surface of the concrete slab. If the enzymatic cleaner container does not have a spray nozzle, you can pour it onto the surface and then use the mop to spread the enzymatic cleaner around. Create a thick layer and thoroughly saturate the affected area.
Lay a large plastic tarpaulin over the sprayed area to prevent evaporation and allow the enzymatic cleaner to penetrate into the concrete. Allow the surface to dry completely, which may take several hours.
Stir the concrete sealer to make sure it is mixed. Do not shake the sealer as that will create air bubbles which will ruin the end product.
Apply a thin, even layer of the concrete sealer to the concrete slab with the paint roller or brush. Spread it thinly over the slab to avoid letting it pool in any lower areas.
Allow the concrete sealer to dry and apply another coat if needed. Allow the second coat to dry before walking on or using the area.
