Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a bottle of silicone putty and a bottle of silicone catalyst. These can be bought at any arts and crafts store in the sculpting department. Measure one-fourth cup of silicone putty. Set it aside. Measure one-fourth cup of silicone catalyst. Take both measured elements and massage them in your hands. Squish them together as if you were kneading bread.

    • 2

Roll out the silicone mixture to a thickness of about 1 inch. If you are making several molds, triple the mixture. You can then make a sheet that contains three molds. Creating more than three on a sheet could result in uneven baking.

    • 3

Press a dog bone, small plastic toy or any other shape you want to make your cookies, into the silicone mixture. Allow the silicone to cure and dry for one hour with the item pressed into it.

    • 4

Remove the bone, toy or other item from the mold. The item you used to form your mold should pop out easily if you push on the bottom. The mold will remain flexible and can be used for baking dog cookies by pressing dough into the mold with your hands.

    • 5

Wash the mold with soap and water, do not use a dishwasher. The force of the dishwasher jets damages the silicone.
