Instructions

    • 1

Scrape up your dog's fecal matter from the carpet using a spatula. Place the feces in a plastic bag and discard in an appropriate trash can with a lid.

    • 2

Make a cleaning solution to remove your dog's fecal stain from the carpet. Mix one cup of ammonia and two cups of warm water in a bucket. Stir the solution with your hand to mix thoroughly.

    • 3

Soak a clean cloth in the ammonia solution and blot at the dog fecal stain on your carpet. Fully saturate the fecal stain, then allow the ammonia solution to sit on the stain for five minutes.

    • 4

Wick up the ammonia solution from your carpet with a clean, dry cloth. Continue to blot until there's no further transfer of ammonia or fecal stain. If any fecal stain remains, repeat Step 3.

    • 5

Tackle any lingering odor caused by your dog's fecal stain on the carpet with baking soda. Apply the baking soda liberally and allow it to sit in and on the carpet fibers overnight to remove odor.
