• Give owners of black Schnauzers treats to spoil their little furry friends. It's even more meaningful if you make them yourself. Take two small jars of any flavor baby food and mix them with 3/4 cup of whole grain, baby, brown rice cereal and a 1/2 cup of wheat germ. Stir in 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk and mix well. Use a teaspoon to scoop out small amounts (about the size of a bite-size dog biscuit) onto a cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool and then package in a festive tin decorated with pictures of black Schnauzers.

• To keep their dogs healthy and clean, owners must groom their Schnauzers once a day because the dogs have so much fur around their eyes and mouth.
