Instructions

    • 1
Spray a natural home freshener to kill odors.

Combine 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts water in a plastic spray bottle. Cut a fresh lemon and squeeze a little lemon juice into the spray bottle. Mist the vinegar and lemon solution in rooms with dog odor to provide a natural air freshener and odor neutralizer.

Pour baking soda into small bowls and leave them in rooms where dog odor exists. Place the bowls of baking soda out of reach of your dog. Change the baking soda in the bowls once a week.

    • 3
Lemons clean and freshen at the same time.

Saturate areas stained with dog urine using your vinegar and lemon solution. Allow the solution to sit on the stains for a few minutes.

    • 4

Use clean cloths to soak up the vinegar and lemon solution, rinse the area with cool water and allow to dry.

    • 5

Pour baking soda over the urine stains. Add a few drops of water and dishwashing liquid to the baking soda. With a clean cloth scrub the mixture into the fibers of your upholstery or carpet. Allow the solution to sit until it dries completely, then vacuum up dried cleaning solution.

Place dryer sheets in the trash cans in each room affected by dog odor. This will add a fresh scent to the room, and when you empty the garbage you can add a new dryer sheet.
