Dog Shows in Columbus, OH

There are a large number of dog shows throughout the state of Ohio. In Columbus, there are two large shows in the spring and fall. The one in the spring offers a large array of events to compete in, while the fall show is limited to conformation. Throughout the summer, there are regular agility shows sponsored by various different kennel clubs.
  1. Associated Specialty Clubs of Central Ohio Spring Show

    • In 2010, the Associated Specialty Clubs of Central Ohio Spring Show takes place April 23 to 25 at the Ohio Exposition Center at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. The offerings include conformation, rally obedience, obedience, agility, sweepstakes, junior showmanship, and several specialties. This show is sponsored by the Central Ohio Kennel Club, Golden Retriever Club of Columbus, Cocker Spaniel Club of Central Ohio, Afghan Hound Club of Greater Columbus, Central Ohio Dachshund Club, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Central Ohio, Buckeye Bulldog Club, Buckeye Keeshound Club, Western Reserve Old English Sheepdog Club.

    Columbus All Breed Training Club Rally and Obedience Trial

    • The Columbus All Breed Training Club offers a rally and obedience trial May 1 and 2, 2010 at 2164 Williams Road in Columbus.

    Summer Agility Trials

    • There are agility trials in Columbus the third week of each month of the summer. The first one in June is sponsored by the Golden Retriever Club Of Columbus and is held at the Sports Barn at 3599 Chiller Lane. The next in July is sponsored by the Columbus All Breed Training Club and is held at 2164 Williams Road. The third in August is sponsored by the Central Ohio Shetland Sheepdog Association and is held at Adventure Recreation Center at Ohio State University. The last one is in September sponsored by the Bedlington Terrier Club Of America at the Sports Barn and is held at 3599 Chiller Lane.

    Fall Cluster

    • In November the Central Ohio Kennel Club, the Sandusky Kennel Club, the Dayton Kennel Club, and the Lima Kennel Club offer an all breed conformation show with junior showmanship at the Ohio Exposition Center at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.
