Ideas for Dog Party Games

A dog party is a great way to get your friends and community of dogs over for a gathering. Depending on the size of party you're having, or the amount of dogs, you can do several things for fun games, activities and different parties.
  1. Outdoor Activities

    • For fun outdoor activities, weather permitting, you can go to a park, someone's back yard, or anywhere with a lot of open space. A dog race is a fun game to set up with the neighboring dogs. You can have a start point and a treat at the finish line for the dogs to run to. If you have the resources, you can set up an obstacle course with jumps, tunnels, objects to crawl over. Regardless of your dog's training level, being outdoors and exercising with your dog can bring great fun to their lives.

    Indoor Games

    • Indoor games can be anything from scavenger hunts to relay races. For a scavenger hunt, have the host place dog treats and biscuits around the house in semi-hidden areas under furniture, flower pots, tables and beds. While on a leash, lead your dog around the house searching for the treats. If you have a big area inside your house, you can make up teams with a few dogs, and have relay races back and forth between the owners.

    Cooking

    • There are many cookbooks and websites that provide recipes and ideas for cooking for your pet. While at your party, let the dogs play with each other, and the owners can gather around your kitchen and all cook the dog-friendly recipes and foods that you can all feed your pets.
