Things You'll Need
- CKC registration application
- Canine registration application
Instructions
Ask the breeder for proof that your puppy's parents are registered with a recognized kennel club. The CKC only accepts application for puppies that come from registered, purebred stock.
Acquire the necessary CKC registration papers for your puppy. These papers should be provided by the breeder when you purchase your poodle puppy, but can also be downloaded from the CKC website. Fill the papers out with the registration numbers of both the sire and dam of your puppy.
Use a Canine registration application if your puppy's parents are not CKC registered, but are registered with another kennel club. This application will enable you to prove that your puppy comes from purebred parents who haven't been tracked through the CKC (i.e., they're registered with the AKC, but not CKC). Canine application forms are also available through the CKC website.
Submit your application to the CKC, along with the required fee and puppy records, by mail or through the CKC website.
