If home maintenance and grooming prove fruitless and your dog smells consistently stinky, please consult with your veterinarian to check to see if there̵7;s an underlying cause or infection.̶1; To clean your dog̵7;s ears, begin by putting ear cleaner on a cotton ball. Fold the ear back and wipe away any earwax on the underside of the ear and lift any dirt. Don̵7;t rub the dirt into the ear.       Clean your carpet to remove urine and urine odor. Dogs will often have accidents on the carpet, which is not only messy, but smelly. Cleaning the accident thoroughly is the only way to remove odor. Begin by soaking up as much urine as you can. Use paper towels or newspaper. Rinse the area with clean water and soak up as much as possible. For urine already embedded into the carpet, use a wet vac to remove the stain. Lastly, apply a good carpet cleaner. The Humane Society of the United States notes, ̶0;Use a high-quality pet odor neutralizer once the area is really clean, available at pet supply stores. Be sure to read and follow the cleaner's directions for use.̶1;
