How to Get Diarrhea off Wood Floors

Diarrhea stains sometimes can cause irreversible damage to hard wood floors if they are not promptly removed. Make sure to clean diarrhea stains as soon as possible from your hard wood floors. As long as you take care of the problem quickly, there is usually no reason why you can't get diarrhea stains out of almost any type of wood flooring using a simple mixture of items you probably already have around the house.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply a light amount of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide onto a rag or towel. Place the rag or towel over the diarrhea stain with the peroxide face-down. For darker diarrhea stains, use more hydrogen peroxide.

    • 2

Place a plastic bag or other form of plastic wrap on top of the stain. This will allow the peroxide solution to fully penetrate the diarrhea stain for complete removal.

    • 3

Let the stain sit overnight. Allow more time for heavier or darker diarrhea stains.

    • 4

Examine the stain in the morning. If the stain is still not light enough, repeat the process of applying peroxide and letting it sit overnight until you achieve the desired lightness.
