Instructions

    • 1

Mix 3 parts water with 1 part white vinegar. Put the solution in your mop bucket and scrub the area thoroughly. Be sure to open the windows. Although vinegar has a clean, fresh aroma, it can be very strong, and your entire house will smell like vinegar.

    • 2

Stir baking soda into water until it forms a paste, and scrub the paste into the affected area. Let it sit for several hours, and rinse it with fresh water.

    • 3

Rub a small amount of full-strength Listerine mouthwash into the affected area, and let it sit for several minutes before rinsing it with fresh water.

    • 4

Dip a sponge in full-strength fabric softener and dab it onto the area. Leave it for several minutes, and rinse it.

    • 5

Pour some lemon juice into a bowl and add a handful of salt. Use the salt and lemon juice solution to scrub into the urine-affected spot.
