Are daddy-long-legs or walking sticks harmful to humans?
Neither of these insects poses any direct threat to humans. Daddy-longlegs, also known as harvestmen or harvester spiders, are one of the least venomous spiders but are not aggressive towards humans. Their fangs are too weak to pierce human skin, and even if they could, the venom they inject poses no serious danger. Similarly, walking sticks are harmless because they lack fangs and other poisonous features typically found in some insects. Although they may seem intimidating, daddy-longlegs and walking sticks serve their ecological roles without presenting any significant risks to individuals.
