Giant pandas spend most of their days in trees as a defense mechanism. When threatened, pandas rely on their climbing prowess to quickly ascend nearby trees, where predators like snow leopards or wolves cannot follow.
Camouflage:
As black and white animals living predominantly in forests with black and white bamboo trees, pandas have a natural camouflage mechanism that effectively conceals them in their native habitats. This makes predation attempts even more challenging for would-be predators.
