Where can you find giant pandas?

Wild: Giant pandas are native to the mountainous regions of central China, specifically in the provinces of Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu. They inhabit temperate forests located in these provinces, often at elevations ranging from 1,500 to 3,500 meters (4,900 to 11,500 feet) above sea level.

Captivity: Giant pandas are also found in captivity in zoos and research centers around the world. These facilities play a crucial role in conservation efforts, contributing to the preservation of the species through captive breeding and research programs. Some notable institutions that house giant pandas include the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China, the San Diego Zoo in the United States, and the ZooParc de Beauval in France.
