How big do killer whales get?
The killer whale, also known as the orca, is the largest species of the oceanic dolphin family. Male killer whales can reach a maximum length of 9.8 meters (32.2 ft) and weigh up to 6 tonnes (13,228 lbs), while females can grow up to 8.5 meters (27.9 ft) and weigh up to 4 tonnes (8,818 lbs).
