How big are snow leopards families?
Snow leopards are usually solitary creatures, except for during mating season. The males and females may stay together for a few days to a few weeks, but as soon as the mating is done, the male leaves the female. The female snow leopard will then give birth to her cubs in a sheltered den, usually a cave or a hollow tree. She will take care of the cubs by herself, until they are old enough to fend for themselves, which is usually at around two years of age.
