How does a red panda protect itself?

Red pandas don't have many ways to actively defend themselves. They are small and relatively weak, making them easy prey for larger predators like leopards, snow leopards, and civets.

Instead, red pandas rely on several strategies for avoiding predators:

* Camouflage: Their reddish-brown fur blends in well with their forest environment, making them hard to spot.

* Nocturnal Activity: They are primarily active at night, when their predators are less active.
