When Shih Tzu puppies grow older do they have the ridiculous long hair?

Shih Tzus are known for their long, flowing hair, but it's not something that happens overnight!

Here's the deal:

* Puppies are born with short, fluffy coats. They don't get the full, long coat until they're a bit older.

* The long hair develops gradually. It takes a few months for their coat to really start growing out.

* Full length is usually reached around 12-18 months. But even then, it still needs regular grooming to maintain its beautiful length.

So, while Shih Tzu puppies don't start with the iconic long hair, they definitely grow into it! 🐶✨
