What predators hunt koalas?

Koalas are primarily preyed upon by dingoes, which are wild dogs native to Australia.

Here are some other predators that occasionally hunt koalas, but less frequently:

* Pythons: While pythons can be large enough to prey on koalas, this is not a common occurrence.

* Echidnas: Echidnas are known to eat koala joeys, especially those that fall from trees.

* Large birds of prey: Birds like wedge-tailed eagles and brown falcons can occasionally attack koalas, but they are not their primary prey.

* Feral cats and dogs: Introduced predators like these can threaten koalas, especially in areas where their populations are high.

It's worth noting that koalas have few natural predators due to their adaptation to eucalyptus leaves, which are toxic to most animals. This makes them less vulnerable to predation, but they still face threats from introduced predators and habitat loss.
