Instructions
Examine the area for boar tracks or boar signs. Boars wallow in the mud leaving indentations filled with water in the mud. They scratch their bodies on trees, leaving mud on the trunks of trees.
Set a guillotine trap in the area. Guillotine traps are available at your local hardware stores.
Place bait in the area. The bait consists of molasses, corn and sweet potatoes. Pile the bait in one area. One to two gallons of bait are needed. Place the bait in and around the trap for one to two weeks. Wild boars need to get accustomed to the trap.
Set the trigger for the trap. Tie one end of rope to the drop door. Tie the other end of the rope to two wooden stakes.
Strike the stakes at a 60-degree angle. Point the ends of the sticks away from the door. Wait for the boars to be trapped.
Use a .handgun (such as a..44 magnum or .357 magnum) for smaller boars and a shotgun for larger animals. Lower caliber weapons were found ineffective against shooting a wild boar. Attach a flashlight to your gun when hunting at night.
Shoot the boar two inches above the eyes in the center of the skull if possible.
