Toucan's Diet

While Sam the Toucan has made that species of bird popular, we all know that toucans don't eat fruit loops. In reality, the bird with the distinctive multi-colored beak feeds on things common to its natural habitat.

    • Toucans are found primarily in Central and South America, although they are also seen in the south of Mexico and the Caribbean. They prefer to live in subtropical and tropical forests.

    • Toucan will also eat small animals. Their prey includes small birds, insects, some snakes and amphibians.
