Things You'll Need
- Garden hose
- Garden netting
- Dog
- Traps
Instructions
Spray the peacocks with a garden hose whenever they come into your yard. A few short squirts to their bodies should do the trick, although you may need a long and hard spray if they get overly aggressive and come at you. They will squawk their disapproval at you, so do not be alarmed.
Place netting over your gardens to deter the peacocks. If your garden isn̵7;t covered, the peacocks will feast on your fruits and veggies.
Train your dog to run and chase the peacocks. You can do this by running with your dog until he gets the hang of it. Run at the peacocks making noise and flailing your arms at them until they go away.
Ask your neighbors to feed the peacocks if they do not mind them. This will get them out of your yard, but may not stop the noise. If their noise is a main concern, then do not follow this step.
Set out traps, or call someone to do so, as a last resort. Many wildlife conservation organizations and animal control businesses will be more than happy to come out and set up traps to get the peacocks off of your property. If you are in an area where it is legal, you can kill and eat trapped peacocks.
