Instructions
Buy a 180-gallon saltwater aquarium. This is the minimum size you need. Condition the water in your aquarium to remove harmful chemicals.
Place your bamboo shark in an established aquarium. Bamboo sharks are too sensitive to withstand the aquarium going through the nitrogen cycle process.
Use minimum lighting in your aquarium. Bamboo sharks are bottom dwellers and like a dark environment.
Select suitable tank mates for your bamboo shark. Some good choices include eels, tangs, lion fish and groupers. Remember that bamboo sharks eat invertebrates, such as shrimp.
Feed your bamboo shark at least twice a week. Shrimp and crab are good food choices. Soak the food in liquid vitamins to ensure proper nutrition.
How to Keep a Bamboo Shark
Bamboo sharks are among the smallest members of the shark species. These fish are bottom dwellers and feeders. There are different types of bamboo sharks, but the care for all of them is the same.
