Things You'll Need
- 2 gallon pump up spray tank
- Duct tape
- Tape measure
- Diagonal pliers
- 1/4-inch plastic hose
- Drill
Instructions
Fill the spray tank with water and replace the lid. Place the spray tank on the floor beside the cage. If the cage sits on a cabinet that has an opening or a door under it, place the tank inside the cabinet.
Unscrew the spray nozzle and remove it from the end of the spray tank. Drill a hole slightly bigger than the nozzle through the top of the lizard cage if there is a wood top. If the top is screen or wire mesh, cut a hole with diagonal pliers. If there is no top at all, tape the nozzle to the top of the tank with the spray end facing the center.
Insert the nozzle through the hole and tape it securely to the top. Measure the distance from the end of the hose coming from the spray tank where the nozzle came off to the point where the nozzle is taped to the tank. Cut a piece of 1/4-inch hose to that length with diagonal pliers.
Insert one end of the hose onto the end of the handle where the spray nozzle came off. Insert the other end of the hose on to the nozzle to complete the system.
Pump the handle on the spray tank until it reaches maximum pressure. Press the lever on the handle to provide rain water inside the lizard's tank.
