Can a margay be pet?

Margays are wild cats native to Central and South America. They are considered endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.

While it is possible for young margay kittens to be tamed to a certain degree, they cannot be domesticated like traditional house cats. Margays are still wild animals and will never be as docile as domesticated cat breeds.

Taming a margay can be a challenging and dangerous endeavor. They can inflict severe bites and scratches and require a specific diet and habitat to thrive.

Additionally, keeping a margay as a pet is illegal in many countries and states due to their endangered status.

For these reasons, it is strongly advised against keeping margay as pets.
