What kind of fur does a cheetah have?

Cheetahs have short, dense fur that is pale yellow to golden in color. Their backs are covered with black spots and their sides have some striping. The black spots help cheetahs to camouflage themselves in the tall grasses of the African savanna. Cheetahs also have a black tear mark that runs from the inner corner of their eye down to their nose. This tear mark helps to protect cheetahs from the sun's glare, and it also helps them to focus on their prey.
