What is an omnivore in the polar region?

Polar bears (Ursus maritimus). Polar bears are carnivorous marine mammals that depend on sea ice for hunting, breeding, and travelling. They primarily prey on seals, with ringed seals being their main target. However, they are opportunistic predators and omnivores, known to consume a wide range of food sources when their preferred prey is scarce. Polar bears may occasionally feed on vegetation like kelp, berries, birds, bird eggs, fish, carcasses, and even human garbage.
