Why people have kookaburras as pets?

While kookaburras are native to Australia and New Guinea, they are not typically kept as pets. They are wild birds and are therefore not domesticated for this purpose. Kookaburras can be noisy, territorial and potentially aggressive, making them unsuitable for most households. Additionally, caring for them requires specialized knowledge of their diet and environmental needs. For these reasons, kookaburras are generally admired from afar rather than kept as pets.
