What Is the most endangered animal?

According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the most endangered animal on Earth is the northern white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum cottoni). There are only two known remaining members of this subspecies, both female, living under 24-hour armed guard at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya.

The northern white rhinoceros has been critically endangered for several decades due to several factors including poaching, habitat loss, and political instability in the regions where they once roamed. Despite extensive conservation efforts and breeding attempts, the remaining two individuals have not been successfully reproduced, making the chances of survival for the subspecies increasingly dire.
