How do flamingos drink water?
Flamingos have a unique bill that is specially adapted for filter-feeding. They use their bills to sift through the water and mud to find small crustaceans, insects, and other invertebrates to eat. To drink water, flamingos will dip their bills into the water and then tilt their heads back so that the water can flow into their mouths. The flamingo's tongue will then help to push the water into its throat.
