What does thrush look like?

Oral thrush

- Creamy white plaques inside the mouth.

- Redness, soreness, or tenderness inside the mouth

Genital thrush

- Thick vaginal discharge with a cottage cheese look and texture

- Vaginal itchiness and soreness

- Stinging or burning feeling when you pee

- Redness and swelling

- Difficulty sitting or walking

- Anal itchiness

Esophageal thrush

- Pain when swallowing

- Problems swallowing

- Feeling like food gets stuck in throat

- Heartburn

Neonatal thrush

- Creamy white patch or film in your baby's mouth; it usually has raised, jagged edges and your baby has difficulty latching

- Cracking and redness at corners of baby's mouth

- Fussy baby who has difficulty feeding

- Diaper rash that doesn't go away
