How are Australian dingo born?

Australian dingos are placental mammals, which means they give birth to live young rather than laying eggs. Like other placental mammals, dingo females have a uterus where the fertilized eggs develop into puppies. The gestation period for dingoes is about 63 days, after which the female will give birth to a litter of 4 to 6 puppies. The puppies are born blind and helpless, and they rely on their mother for food and protection. They will typically stay with their mother for 10 to 12 months before becoming independent.
